The Weill Cornell Medicine Program for Substance Use and Stigma of Addiction is committed to ending the stigma of addiction and improving the lives of individuals affected by this disease through educational programming, clinical services, and personal stories. We focus on developing interventions to improve clinicians’ attitudes towards patients with substance use disorders, as well as on educating all physicians on how to treat individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental illness. In addition, we are committed to changing the conversation and ending the stigma of addiction through community initiatives and personal stories of substance use and recovery.
