Q&A With Villas Veritas

Villa Veritas offers a relaxing refuge to help those struggling with addiction. With a homelike setting on acres of woodlands of upstate New York, we provide comfort and safety in your journey on recovery.

What do you think is the most successful aspect of your program and why?

Our philosophy toward addiction is that we treat it as a three-fold disease: addressing the spiritual, physical, and mental components of one’s life. We believe in the wisdom and utilization involved in the 12-Step programs of recovery, which has proven to be effective for many hundreds of people and their families.

It is the mission of Villa Veritas Foundation Inc, to provide compassionate, interdisciplinary substance use disorder management. We conduct our programs with the highest standard of quality and endeavors to serve as a model for chemical dependency treatment delivery and management. Our team consists of full staff of clinical, medical, and support team. We create an atmosphere of love and we thrive on that.

Often times in treatment, the initial band aid is the medical component. However, we understand that people need more time. Individuals come to us for the psychological and spiritual healing. This includes finding a relationship with family again.

How would you describe the population that you treat at your center?

Middle-class professional and union working people. Ages 18 and up.

How would you compare your programs and results to others working in the same field?

We have a forty-seven year success rate, including four generations.

Our staff is a family. We are about each other and celebrate each other. Our staff voluntarily came in during COVID, when they did not have to. They care about the people we treat. We also request COVID testing before we accept anyone to our program.

With our separate men’s and women’s program,  we are sure to make you feel comfortable and welcome on your journey to sober living. Before COVID, we also offered a family program that included weekly meetings, which is now on Zoom.

How do you mobilize others around your mission?

We celebrate the healing process.

How do you keep your supporters and the community up to date about your work?

All our ongoing work can be accessed via our website, social media, and email. Most of our supports in the community keep up to date of our work through our website. Since Covid-19, we have added a virtual tour. You can feel and experience our beautiful grounds, including a pond on our property.

The fellowship among the people allows those in recovery to laugh and cry together. The counseling will help self-discovery, but the healing occurs within the group camaraderie.

If I wanted to get to know the organization better, what are the best ways to learn more?
